My name is Fakhry Kholfan. I am originally from North Sudan. After living in the United States for 20 years, I’ve decided to relocate in Brisbane to be with my beautiful wife Reem, who has also joined the cast of The John Drama.

The reason I want to be involved in The John Drama: personally I think it’ll speak to so many people in different ways. I also think it will strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ. I’m excited to see the Lord’s work being done through this drama, and I am absolutely blessed to be a part of it.

A couple of years ago I went to see The Mark Drama which left a big impression on me. It really brought the Gospel and the life of Jesus and the disciples to life! So when good friends of mine invited me to become involved with The John Drama it wasn’t too hard to say ‘yes’. I look forward to seeing what Jesus is going to show me about Himself, and I pray that you too will draw closer to Him, through this live-telling of the Gospel of John. During the week I am an energy economics consultant, I enjoy cooking and playing ultimate frisbee, and I love to volunteer at my church.

Hello, I was introduced to The John Drama by a very nice friend of mine. Personally, I take a very strong message from it, the most precious free gift from God. The sacrifice of His Son set me free from sin and draws me closer to Him. A gift that brings me, again, back to Adam and Eve, with the difference that, this time, I will be able to say, "Thank you God for your precious gift, I want to follow you!" I believe this John Drama will give each one of us a genuine and comforting message of true love!"

Hi, I’m Scott. I spend my week as a physiotherapist, helping old people stay strong and confident. Normally I don’t like being in front of people, but I do want people to see and meet Jesus. That’s why I am involved in The John Drama.

I was raised in Darwin NT and moved to Brisbane in 2013 to study architecture. Being raised as a member of the Anglican Church in Darwin, the Gospels (particularly the Gospel of John) gave me great comfort while I studied and lived away from my hometown and family. It's great to be a part of the telling of this Gospel through theatre to reach not only a wider audience but to stimulate current members of the Church to further thought and discussion.

Francois and I have been extensively involved with Story-the-Bible for several years, and we love to incorporate this compelling medium in church services and special programs. Last year, we presented our Christmas carol program as a panorama of stories, told by experienced storytellers. Our theme was “John the messenger and John the follower proclaim Jesus” and it was based on the gospel and the letter of John.

Through doing some Bible Storytelling I became aware of how much we all learn in this medium. I am happy to be a part of the cast of The John Drama. I am enjoying seeing how all the various parts of the Gospel fit together to become one continuous story, rather than a bunch of short stories. On the personal level, I am a wife, a mother, and a nurse.

I’m super excited about being part of The John Drama, because it introduces Jesus in a non-churchy way. The John Drama is engaging and immediate, allowing the audience to gain a close-up insight into the character of Jesus and what He did for us.

I am honoured to join the cast for The John Drama. I believe in the power of God’s Living Word, and performing this drama will provide individuals the opportunity to reconnect with the message of the cross. I am excited for the transformations that will take place
